Long time no see, eh? Yes, it’s Johnathan here, back from the dead, ready to provide you guys & gals with more hints and tips for looking dapper. As a few of you may know, it’s been a tough few months, but I’m glad to report that I’m slowly starting to get through the backlog of e-mails and authoring a few new posts. Needless to say, if you’ve sent me a message during the past few months, I’m working on the reply!
As you’ve probably noticed already, I’ve ‘refreshed’ the site a little. Firstly, I’ve updated the theme to feel a little more 2010; controversial changes include waving goodbye to the highlighting and re-jigging a few older posts for SEO purposes. Needless to say, I’ve tried to make the transition as smooth and uneventful as possible, but please allow for a few teething issues whilst I attempt to redefine the look.
The second major change is a more than cosmetic; Guy Style Guide is going to take on a far more ‘blog’ orientated manner from here on out. This will feature regular shout-outs and smaller commentary posts, not to mention more reviews and event-based entries.
Similarly, while I have deep reservations about ‘lookbooks’, I’ve also taken on-board all the feedback on the matter and I can see there’s a real demand and desire for such things. I’ll therefore try to compromise my own belief on the subject in order to convey a more ‘visual’ drive with the site.
Needless to say, I do care what you guys think, so use the comments section to have your say on the ‘new’ format. All I ask is you give the new style a chance, and we’ll both see how we get on!
Finally, a big thank you all for your patience and notes of encouragement you’ve left over the past five months; let’s try and make 2010 another great year for guy style guide…
